There are many community and social website owners who wonder how to activate their user base. How can I get people to interact and collaborate with each other? Would it be better to run a campaign, add a feature, or add a tool? We at AtomChat have long advocated collaborative tools. Hence, why not ask users what they think of websites with collaborative tools?

Early April, we conducted a survey with 1000 users of community websites, these sites used a variety of collaborative tools such as group chat, video conferencing. The goal was to determine how these tools are benefiting users. By asking them questions, we were able to determine whether these tools increase engagement and visibility while improving user experience on the website that uses them.
